IMPORTANT: Please note that suppliers must become a "known supplier of LAGs" if they wish to utilize STEBs from "known suppliers of STEBs". Contact the relevant civil aviation authority for background information on the approval process for known suppliers (ICAO State letter AS 8/11-07/53 Confidential dated 6 July 2007).

IMPORTANT: STEBs should only be used for transfer LAGs. For non-transfer LAGs, normal bags may be used by retailers. It should be noted that the average percentage of transfer passengers is 25 to 30 per cent.

IMPORTANT: Additional requirements are imposed on known suppliers of LAGs for the validation of supply chain security (ICAO State letter AS 8/11-07/53 Confidential dated 6 July 2007).
